I like New Orleans best in the shoulder seasons, and considering that the shoulder season is about to end on Memorial Day, it’s a perfect time to have some drinks in the big easy. The first occupant of the house was Nicholas Girod, in 1814. He offered it as a residence to the exiled Napoleon in 1821 but Napoleon died before he could be carted off to the new world. Now, it’s better known for serving stellar Pimm’s Cups and piping classical music throughout the bar. To that I say Happy Friday!
